#19: Self improvement is about decreasing recovery time after rough patches not avoiding them.
Just like how consistently working out reduces recovery time, working on yourself and having a self improvement journey can reduce the time you need to heal. It can make you more resilient after each hard patch in life so you bounce back faster and 10X better. Reducing this time does not mean avoiding it, you do need time to heal and time to sit with yourself and your emotions alone to discover your patterns, to discover what's going on in your heart and in your mind and to gain clarity over your reality. This self improvement only means you are equipped with the right tools to get yourself out of the lowest points in your life because we will have them no matter what you do. The bigger you dream, the bigger the fails in the process. Do you have what it takes to get through this journey, enjoy the process and come out the other end evolving to a better version of yourself? Self improvement is about regaining confidence in our ability to get through hard times not avoiding them all together.
